Having read all the discussions on this forum I have got an impression that most people simply don't understand what is the difference between chaga and chaga extract. Let's try to sort it out in this thread. Which is better and which is more used by users, which is more healthy and which is less expensive and why.
In my opinion based on my 15 year experience of using chaga and chaga extract, the chaga tea should be used mostly as a nice healthy tea. The tea is great! Real chaga has a clear particular scent of the forest. No other smell is attributable to real chaga and certainly chaga mushroom will not smell like usual edible mushroom. I like to drink hot chaga tea during cold seasons adding dome dried herbs and honey. But still, it remains just a tea..Yes, it is healthy as long as taken regularly during lengthy period of time but don't expect anyhtong big from it. It does have strong and immediate diuretic effect thugh so it is good for cleaning the kidneys from sand or small stones.
But in terms of health benefits chaga extract has much more potentials.
In this connection I would like to describe you just a few cases in which I personally had been involved, and witnessed the problems which were being sold solved with chaga extract (pls note: I am speaking only about chaga extract manufactured by BaikalHerbs Ltd):
1. In one case of gastritis, just within a couple of weeks(or even less) after the beginning of taking chaga extract three times a day (3x1g) the symptoms of gastritis drastically subsided(pain, heartburn). The person was on a healthy diet(vegetarian). In two months, no signs of gastritis left. This patient had suffered from gastritis for almost 20 years until he found chaga extract.
2. Diabetes. A daughter of a friend of mine, 10 years old had been diagnosed with diabetes and the doctor had prescribed her insulin shots. But the doctor happened to be a kind man and advised her parents to search for good chaga extract first and try to give it to the girl for two weeks. And if chaga doesn't help, then to commence the injections as prescribed.
The parents bought the chaga extract and started to administer it to the girl. The blood sugar dropped within first week by 30%.
Now, almost a year since that occurrence, although the girl still has been taking chaga extract, her blood sugar level keeps being normal. She was not being injected a single drop of insulin. The parents are happy but a bit worried at the same time. They are afraid that if the kid stops taking chaga the sugar may go up again, so they prefer not to experiment and continue this natural therapy.
3. My son, had a bad fungus on his upper leg (supposedly got it after trying on jeans in one of the shops). The fungus was in a form of a big ring with wet sores which was itching all the time. I was anxious it could be lichen.. The dermatologist prescribed antibiotics and an ointment. The whole week we were smothering the sores with the ointment and the boy was taking pills at the same time...Nothing helped, and the fungus had grown even more. Then I decided to quit using traditional medicine (I personally haven't had a single pill for almost 5 years now, I am only using natural stuff), and so we applied to the affected spot on my son's leg some chaga extract in a form of a salve (extract+water). Result: in two days there was not a sign of the fungus anymore!
You can believe me or not, but the above information is a matter of fact to me, and when I meet some "chaga gurus" I always ask them: Do you personally take chaga? For how long have you been taking chaga? What specific problems have you resolved with your chaga? And if he cannot provide any specific answers, then he is just salesman, nothing else.
We don't need any fancy numbers or articles with a lot of scientific technicalities which for most people are not understandable.. what we need is the real experience and real facts..And if the salesman is really taking chaga himself, then he always has his personal experience.
So, I am calling chaga users for sharing their practical experience of using chaga, here on this board. Let's discuss it
