Chaga and Phellinus Linteus birch tree conks are each highly immunological. They make a great combination to improve overall health, to detain increase of cancer tumor, to treat a variety of afflictions, and for improvement of overall health, longevity, and quality of living. Chaga has the highest ORAC value known to man ~ over 50,000/gram, wild blueberries are 50/gram. Best use is as hot water decoction, simply put 10 grams each into large pot of water and let it steam a couple hours, without simmering. Drink the tea hot or cold, use the mushrooms a second time. Should last several days, drink several cups a day for 60 days, then drink 4 days a week for 60 days. The phellinus linteus is used in over 40 oncological drugs, it cannot be replicated in a lab. It produces interferon 10 which allows cell nucleus to be saved as the detrius is swept away and repaired by the high anti-oxidant properties of the chaga. This can create apostisis in cancer tumors. Studies support this in breast and prostate cancer. I had cancerous moles on my face disappear in 60 days, and others to whom I provide tea have been blessed with the result of improving a wide variety of auto-immune diseases. The mushrooms are said to be more potent when harvested from a climate with deep cold winters, such as Siberia, Alaska, and Canada. I'm in Alaska, and have been to Russia nine times working with adaptogenic herbs and immunological mushrooms. I also make adaptogenic tea that is on par with the mushrooms in medicinal and health benefit, for anti-aging, stress reduction, improvement of the 12 human organ systems. Results are quantified through Soviet research from the 1950's and 60's. There is substantial improvement in strength, endurance, and reduced fatigue taking the adaptogenic tea. The mushrooms and tea are synergistic. I have worldwide inquiries and now ship both the tea and mushroom combination to help people with parkinsons, ms, various cancers, and am beginning to promote to sports teams for athletic improvement. I have lots of information about the quantified benefits from extensive studies in Russia completed by Dr. Israel Brekhman at the Institute of Far East Medicine, Vladivostok. I'll be happy to answer any questions or address any concerns regarding the above information.

Richard,
Both chaga powder and chunks (or slices of chunks) are good simmered and steeped in hot water, up to three times, for tea. The tincture is chunks or powder soaked in alcohol. Both are good, but I trust making the tea, although I do make tinctures in vinegar (kombucha) rather than alcohol.
I want to emphasize again that chaga is absolutely trerrific for the human body. To use the tincture of alcohol, put a dropperfull, 15 drops, in liquid. Drink two 1/2 cups a day of the infused kombucha, or take 3-5 cups of tea a day. In poor Russian towns it was used as coffee substitute, and medical researchers found little disease, aging, or cancer in these cities.

Richard, chaga extract in powder can be used exactly as you use instant coffee, just add a little of the extract to any liquid (hot or cold) stir it well and enjoy this tasty and healthy drink.

Tomcatiii, Are you a health practitioner? Have you found Chaga helpful for prostate cancer? I have a client who had his prostate removed and after 2 years is getting a slight elevation in his PSA. He is looking to try natural means to see if it will help and his doctors are willing to wait since no identifiable tumors or evidence of cancer is seen in any of the follow-up tests. He has made significant changes in his diet and is working with stress reduction techniques.

Hi, I am from Russia and the folks medicine is very developed there. I have been drinking it for a while as I like its taste. After a couple of months I noticed that I felt very healthy and energetic and while everybody was sick because of some viruses I stayed completely healthy. My immune system improved dramatically. Since then I started to do some research on chaga and there is no doubt that it helped many people. There is a website called http://www.teaforcancer.com We have been drinking this tea for a long time. I really recommend it. If you would like to know more, feel free to contact me directly yulia.morris@googlemail.com

It is not a sponge, it is a fungus called Trutovik that is another medicinal mushroom that grows on wood. It has many healing properties and was traditionally used in Russia for tuberculosis, liver deseases and even to lose weight.

Thanks for your comment, I have a picture of chaga mushroom on my website now. http://www.teaforcancer.com

Yulia, thanks for your reply, but still, the picture on your website is not a chaga mushroom again...it is a "trutovik" , right, but certainly not chaga... :)

This 'tea for cancer website' is absolute rubbish IMO.
They are only interested in selling their product, not in discussion or learning something or helping somebody.
One can leave comments on the 'articles' they publish, but if the comment is even a little bit critical or does not herald tea for cancer 100% it will not be published.
I made a comment about the necessity to use extracts instead of simple mushroom powder if you want to benefit from Chaga's potential, and it was taken down straight away.
Why ? I don't know.
If you brew tea from Chaga powder and let it simmer for a few hours you are, in fact, making an extract too. This basic fact was not known I guess.

I am disappointed with a lot of webshops selling e.g. Chaga. I have a health problem and want to deal with it in the best way possible. I'm critical, these extracts are expensive and I want value for money. So, to give an example, I read a webshop stating their Chaga extract contained 4% betulin yet it was just powder, not an extract. It is not possible to determine betulin in non-extracted mushroom powder.
So I wrote to them asking for an explanation and a Certificate of Analysis to verify their statements.
Every seller has one, it is necessary for customs when you import your wholesale goods from abroad (Siberian Chaga comes from Siberia, this was a US seller, so...) and is given to you by the producing factory.
They refused, even when I called them.
It is clear that they made this false claim just to sell more products: they don't actually give a d**n about their customers and their ailments. They just want to line their pockets.
People, I want to recommend to be cautious for this type of web shops. If the claims made seem unrealistic always ask for a COA - a reputable seller will give it to you without hesitation.
